Too often, “flexible” work arrangements are associated with the “mommy track.” However, Nanette Fondas recently wrote a piece entitled, “After Your ‘Daddy Days’ End,” which points out that (i) more men than women would consider flex work options and (ii) many companies are willing to accommodate requests for flexible work arrangements. Studies have also shown that people who take advantage of flexible work arrangements are promoted more than others. Flexible work arrangements are a benefit that both men and women can and should explore and implement—it is an important ingredient for men and women who thrive in their work-life mix.
