After nearly a year of focused observation and research, we have identified 8 Habits of A Highly-Effective Wixii Woman (yes, the 8 is a tribute to Cindy’s Chinese heritage!):
- Seasons of Life: maintains a long-term perspective and understands that life has various seasons, each with its unique opportunities and challenges.
- Intentional Time Usage: spends time intentionally and effectively by focusing on what really matters and letting go of what does not.
- Reassessment and Reflection: evaluates regularly the elements of her work-life-family mix to determine what is working and what is not, and acts accordingly.
- Reality as Opportunity: views individual reality as opportunity rather than hindrance (or negative) by fully engaging in current circumstances and either making the most out of them or moving on to something different.
- Growth and Learning: values and seeks constant growth and learning, during every season in life.
- Do Not Do: actively prioritizes by keeping both “to do” and “do Not do” lists and understanding the difference.
- Embraces Planning but Not Plans: plans wisely, yet holds loosely to actual plans; proactive, not reactive. Adapts to fluidity of life’s circumstances.
- Work and Life: It’s a Mix: takes an integrated and comprehensive view of work-life-family, with fluid and evolving elements that may intermingle, overlap, and sometimes conflict, but allows the elements to blend into one another thereby decreasing transitions that may be time-consuming and/or stressful.
