“Oh, I’ll just take a picture,” a woman I met at a networking event recently said as we were exchanging business cards. She promptly opened the app, CardMunch by LinkedIn, on her iPhone, took a picture of my card, and handed it back to me. She had all my information but none of the hassle of filing business cards or data entry. And the best part, CardMunch is FREE!
Now, I too, am a CardMunch user. It is so easy to use and helps in my effort to go paperless. If you have wondered what to do with business cards, consider giving this app a try. Simply: (i) download the free app, (ii) take pictures of cards received, (iii) add notes (if desired), and (iv) submit. After the card is transcribed (turnaround is very quick), you can easily add contact information by pressing one button for LinkedIn and/or another to add the information to your phone contacts.
