I have never been one to spend too much time on make-up. But, as a working professional, I always applied some basics (e.g., foundation, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, brow liner, blush, lip gloss). However, once I had children, I found myself frequently skipping make-up to save time. One day, I got tired of looking at my tired and washed-out self and decided to march myself into the local MAC Cosmetics store. My request: one step make-up. Something that could be applied in one-step to give my face some color and to help me feel and look brighter. The make-up artist introduced me to MAC Margin blush. It’s a very versatile color that works on multiple skin tones and can be applied to the cheeks as blush and brushed over the eyelids to give the eyes some lift. Voila! One-step make up. I now keep it in my medicine cabinet with an accessible make-up brush. If time, I also apply a bit of eye liner and mascara. The total process takes 15 seconds and gives me just enough boost to feel a bit more put together each day. If you’ve been looking for a way to simply your make-up routine (or add a bit of make-up to your routine), try finding a versatile color that can be applied to both cheeks and eyes. – Cindy Chang Mahlberg (Women in the Mix, Co-Founder)
